A resistance movement in the advertisement industry
The advertisement industry is full of intelligent, creative people who deep down oppose their own work. Adblockers now offers them a way to act: you can leak confidential documents on planned advertisement campaigns on our leaking platform and we will hand it to our network of adbusting groups.
We all know people, who somehow ended up in advertisement and now convince themselves that it isn’t actually that bad. The occasional bad conscience is soothed by the agency with attractive salaries, ample production budgets, a foosball table in the office and “room for creativity“.
But sometimes the ethical doubts do come. When Nestlé, known for privatizing water supplies, destroying rain forest, animal testing and child labor, wants its new greenwashing campaign done by your team. When your agency just keeps on doing advertisement for air travel and meat consumption, as if there was no discussion about the climate crisis. Or when a construction market orders a campaign that is based on a racist joke.

Advertisement against advertisement
To get the message to the right people, we went to Hamburg and did a little advertisement ourselves. We set up camp right in front of the offices of the two largest advertisement agencies: Scholz & Friends and Jung von Matt. We hung up posters, handed out flyers and stickers and talked to lots and lots of advertisement people.
